Brief Answer:
Apply Diclofenac gel

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for your query.

Sorry for the delay in my response.

I had a look at the image you sent. It appears to be inflamed and there seems to be fluid filled in the joint spaces which has to be drained. Only after the drainage I believe you shall find relief.

I suggest you to continue applying Ice also apply DICLOFENAC pain killer gel over the affected joint. Also Immobilize the joint completely. Do keep it in the position which provides you relief. Do not massage the joint.

Hope, I answered your query.

Wish you good health.

Could you possibly answer the other question pertaining to my upcoming surgery on th 22nd about the horn rimmed medial meniscus tear on the inside of the joint or on the inner side I should say it causes my great pain deep within my knee behind the kneecap my leg actually buckles when I try to walk on it. They say this is one of the most painful and slow healing of all arthroscopic surgery. Your wise words would greatly be appreciated, Thank you,XXXX

Brief Answer:
Need not worry

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for writing back.

You have heard it wrong.

Though complicated procedure, since its approach to the problem is through an Arthroscope the pain during surgery or the after pain is less.

Need not worry, the only problem with this procedure is long duration of immobilization and very rarely failure of the surgery. In better hands I would not worry about a failure.

Hope, I answered your query.

Wish you good health.
