Brief Answer:
Need treatment with antifungal ointment and pessaries

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

I understand your concerns about itching around perineum and pain during intercourse.

This is commonly seen in women who have fungal infection of vagina associated with fungal infection of perineal skin.

Hence I suggest you take antifungal ointments for local application as well as antifungal pessaries for vaginal insertion.

I am not sure if these are available over the counter or you need to take a prescription along.

Antifungal vaginal pessaries contain clindamycin as content and need to be inserted in vagina for next 6 nights daily. Ointments needs to be applied locally.

You will feel relief after one week of starting treatment.

Let me know if you have anymore queries.

Dr. Soumya.S.
