Suggest Treatment For Pain And Presence Of Soft Tissue Mass Under The Rib Cage

Lipoma/sebaceous cyst
Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for your query and an elucidate history.
Read and understood your history and findings.
Noted that you have a soft tissue mass/lump on left side under rib cage since 2 months which you noticed with pain on doing weight lifting on a decline bench. The pain went away in in a couple of days but the lump remained.
The most probable reason for such a lump is either a sebaceous cyst or a lipoma if it is below the rib cage and just below the skin.
Lipoma is freely XXXXXXX slips under the finger if you press by the side and is virtually non-tender.
Sebaceous cyst appears as XXXXXXX but not so freely and you may see a dimple or a black dot or spot on the skin on movement, it is also non-tender unless infected.
If the lump is small, fixed to the lower rib, then it may be costochondritis.
Rare things like a hernia is always reducible.
May I please know into which of the symptoms and findings your lump falls into?
What is the size?
I would advise you the following:
It is better to get such lumps removed for 2 reasons:
1. You get rid of the lump which is not a normal part of the body.
2. You get a 100% definite diagnosis by histo-pathology and the stress and anxiety related to it is also gone.
Please give feedback.
I hope this answer helps you to get an early and proper diagnosis and get a proper treatment, please feel free to give the feedback and ask further relevant queries if you feel that there is a gap of communication.
