Hi
Thanks for your query
I'm Dr Sudhir Kumar
I have gone through your query and understand your concern. You are likely to be having osteoarthritis( degenerative) in your ankle as it is common in your age. You can take analgesic such as ibuprofen 400mg for pain whenever you have pain. Hot fomentation in the morning and evening is helpful. Glucosamine and Diacerine is helpful. Vitamin D3 is helpful if deficiency is there of vitamin D.
You should also consider for septic arthritis (infection) specially if you have fever also as there is redness and very painful. For this you need consulting a Orthopedic surgeon. You can discuss with your doctor about it.
Hope your query get answered. If you have any clarification then I will be happy to help you.
Wishing you a good health.
Take care.
