Brief Answer:
Pain the back of the throat could be due to traumatized mucosa

Detailed Answer:
Hi

Thanks for posting the query

The symptoms described by you seems to be secondary to the traumatized mucosa in the back of the throat. When a person sneezes, there is severe pressure exerted in the back of the throat, eustachian tube (the tube connecting nose and the ear) and the nose. This causes small tear in the mucosa leading to the above symptoms.

Do not worry! This will settle down within few days. Drink plenty of warm water, this helps in faster healing of the traumatized mucosa.

Hope this answers your query. Revert back to me if you have any follow up queries.
