The pain has been on and off for may be one year.
I am not Diabetic, but I do have back pain.
Actually the pain is below the knee, at the back.
I never feel any tingling or numbness. However, sometimes I can feel something like a muscle pull, but I find myself rubbing with my hand the back of the Leg below the knee as it feels like I need to blood circulate.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I have studied your case and I think that you should get MRI of the spine to confirm what is the extent of herniation? If it is less than fifty percent of the nerve compression then I would suggest you to start physiotherapy, pelvic traction and take Pregabalin M tablet one daily.
You should avoid weight lifting, forward bending or travelling.
If this compression more then fifty percent then you need to take consultation of a orthopaedic spine surgeon as you might need operative intervention.
I hope this answer will be useful for you.Let me know if there is any other followup questions.
thanks
