Question: Hi I've been having pain in between my shoulder blades which started yesterday. When I breathed in it hurt my chest. Last night again I got chest pains foowed by pain in my back again. I began to feel dizzy and exhausted. I'm 32 years old I don't drink or smoke. I do however have high blood pressure. I'm very fit and healthy. I couldn't sleep well last night due to chest pain. Cause for concern?

Brief Answer:
Cardiac cause of chest pain should be ruled out.

Detailed Answer:
Hi

Thank you for asking HCM.

I have gone through your query. And yes, I am concerned. Cardiac cause of chest pain should be ruled out. You can take an ECG to rule out this. Blood pressure should be checked also. If that is clear then chest x ray should be taken to rule out problems with lungs. If that is also clear then it can be most likely from muskuloskeletal pain. In such case you taking NSAIDs like ibuprofen will be helpful. It is available in brands like motrin. You can also apply anti inflammatory gels like ketoprofen for local application.

Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear.
Thanks.
