Question: I started Macrobid Saturday night but forgot my Tuesday doses , I restarted this am but have the UTI back with pain and urgency. I took Azo over an hour ago and although my urine is orange it still burns, can I take more Azo

Thanks for the query

As far as possible please donot forget to take your antibiotics, it might cause relapse of the infection
AZO can be taken again, you can take upto 2 tablets three times daily but not for more than 2 days ( total of 12 tablets. A better longer lasting drug would be tab flavoxate, it can be taken twice daily. Urinary alkanisers like syrup citraalka 2tsp three times day can also help with the burning
