Question: nium rods screws placed to decompress discs herniated nerve involvement extensie drop foot,radiculopathy on and on ask I AM sure you can imagine. AT this time my vascular surgeon would not clear for spNial surgery as I had developed an ulcer requiring una boot until healed and arterial grafting rt.leg needless to say my spinal condition pain intolerable tried all recommendations steroidal ections 3 sessuions of 3 ,physical therapy wheel chair bound due to foot drop radiculopathy and all related secondary to same. I Was born with congenital stenosis as well as EHRBS Duchenne.,practiced as an rn 35 yrs. last adimistrative at XXXXXXX ISRAEL N.Y. INFECTIOUS DISEASES early 90s HIV UNIT working closely with CDC.I Loved my career.NYS board of disability permanently disabled me. My life changed in so many ways of course yet understood I could never return to the level of Nursing I Specialized in.my main question I have been falling frequently radiologic tsts done indicate complete rupur of disc level 2 and3 facet joints ofcouse unvolved pain consistently6-10 despite pain pump implanted FEB.2014.require walker and surgeon recommending surgery.I am 58 quality of life poor would you rcommend surgery I Know there have advanced in so many ways.I do knowI Can not cont. witheongoing pain numbness unsteady fearful.I Take MOTRIN the resistance I HAVE TO pain medications have made it difficult at best doses much lower than what I Have been prescribed for many yrs.any thought suggestion gratly appreciated. sincerely XXXXXXX Jeanmarie
