Suggest Treatment For Pain In Both Lower Limbs Along With Numbness

Posted on Tue, 20 Apr 2021
Question: Hello doctor,
I am having two medical conditions from long time and I want to get rid of it.
1. First, I am always having pain in both lower limbs (using stairs, cycling, brisk walking). I was low on vitamin D3 and B12, doctor advised shots which increased D3 to 70 and B12 >1000, 8 months ago. I see no improvement in my leg pain. What should I do now, please advise.
2. Second, I have problem of numbness, sensession in legs and arms mostly it happens to legs when sitting cross leg position but it happens with hands as well. When any of the body parts has some pressure that part numb. I know it's common with legs but that's not looks normal with me as it happens very frequently and almost every body part. I can feel the pain in the legs. Kindly, advise what should I do? I visited an orthopedic, he advised some muscle relaxation medication as he said this is not because of D3.
Thank you.

Brief Answer:
Can be nerve compression at lower back.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
I have gone through all the reports and these are almost normal. The pain in the legs and numbness that you have can be related to a mild disc bulge at the level of lumbar spine. Back muscle spasm can also contribute to this problem. An MRI scan of the lower back will help in proper diagnosis. Regular physiotherapy is needed to maintain the tone of back muscles.
I hope this answers your query.

Thanks doctor for the response!

Can you name the exact MRI test that I should go for? (tMRI Lumbosacral Spine?)

Also, I don't have any back pain at all. I am just wanted to go for the test that pin point my current medical condition.

Many thanks.

Brief Answer:
MRI lumbosacral spine is needed.

Detailed Answer:
Hello.
Thanks for writing again.
You need to have MRI lumbosacral spine. This will detect any disc related changes or a nerve root compression.
Hope my answer is helpful.
