My mother is having pain in one of her hands and leg.she has pain in joints of hand from now 3 weeks. She is diabetic and has high BP levels. Not sure what is the problem.I am attaching the reports i got from doctor do guide us what needs to be done.
Can be due to nerve root compression at spine.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
I have seen all the attached reports and prescription. The pain in the hand and leg can be due to neuropathy caused by diabetes or due to a nerve root compression at the level of spine due to age related degenerative changes of the spine. She is right now getting the medicines related to diabetes and hypertension and neuropathy. In case there is no improvement after taking the treatment for one month then she needs to consult a neurophysician for an MRI scan of the spine to rule out any nerve compression. Meanwhile she can do a hot compress in the painful areas and see if it helps.
I hope this answers your query.
In case you have additional questions or doubts, you can forward them to me, and I shall be glad to help you out.

Recently we got her thyroid tested based on doctors advise.I am attaching that report. She was given some injections to legs perhaps pain killers i think for hand pain. After she has taken injection she fells burning sensation in body. What are the reason for high thyroid levels and what are the symptoms seen at this thyroid levels.
Could touch upon what she should be eating for breakfast/lunch/dinner ?
Also she cannot take the thread mill test related to ecg has she has joint pain problems. She does not want to start insulin injections as once we start it ,it would become a necessity and habit always.
Regards
Tousif
Please attach thyroid profile report.
Detailed Answer:
Hello.
Thanks for writing again.
I could not find the attached report of thyroid hormone levels.
The burning sensation after taking the injection can be due to an allergic reaction to the injection. You should inform her treating physician regarding this.
She needs to follow a diabetic diet. She can consult a dietitian for proper diet chart according to her requirements and preferences.
The decision to start with insulin injections depends on her diabetologist. She has uncontrolled diabetes which needs proper treatment otherwise multiple other problems can get aggravated.
Hope my answer is helpful.
Do accept my answer in case there are no further queries.

TSH is high.
Detailed Answer:
Your mother's TSH levels are high. This suggests hypothyroidism. It is a hormonal problem like diabetes and she needs to start with proper thyroid hormone supplements after consulting an endocrinologist. She can have a weight gain, depression, lower rate of metabolism and menstrual irregularities due to low levels of thyroid hormone.
Regards.
