Suggest Treatment For Pain In Her Lower Right Pelvic Quadrant
Please give detailed history.
Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted the history about your 16 year old daughter and understood the concerns.
The history starts with pain in the right lower quadrant - many tests, scopy, laparoscopy, biopsy all negative - level 7 pain for 5 months - can not bend at waist or do any physical - was active softball player - XXXXXXX BC - Naproxen - Tylenol - no cure....
Please give some additional information for me to assist you better:
Your history says that she can not bend at waist or do any physical > where exactly is the pain? Is it in the muscles/bone of pelvis or deep within?
Any history of slipping or sprain during the play before starting this pain?
Any CT scan of the whole abdomen including that of the muscles and bones?
Please give details about the exact site of pain and the instigating or enhancing factors, positions/movements.
Any other constitutional symptoms like chills, fever, loss of appetite or weight, Any urinary symptoms, GI symptoms like bloating, nausea, vomiting, loose or hard stools, constipation?
Menstrual history?
Awaiting for your detailed feedback.
Deep within - would best describe it not muscular/bone. The pain started on 1/15/18 and ironically she had not practiced prior to this as she was sick the week before.
Every doctor and specialist has asked about ct scan but no one orders it they all say that it won't show anything/not needed BC of all the other testing she's had.
The pain she says is constant - before the BC pills her pain would spike just before her period leading us to the cyst/endo suspicions.
No other symptoms you asked about - which is why we waited so long to rule out the GI issues.
She got her period at 12 and it has been regular and normal.
Thank you!
As detailed.

Thanks for your feedback.
What was the sickness before starting this pain?
In fact CT scan of the abdomen including the study for abdominal wall, spine can show some light on the possible diagnosis.
Even a clinical examination of the spine and MRI if needed may help to get or rule out any spinal pathology causing such a constant and severe pain that has a typical location, MRI of the spine around T-10 level may help as anything at this level can cause pain at the umbilical level and around. This will also help to see for the retroperitoneal area which is not at all seen with Ultrasonography.
Please discuss this issue with her Doctors.
I hope this answer helps you further.
