Brief Answer:
Cervical region nerve compression.

Detailed Answer:
Welcome to health care magic. I am Dr. Ganesh.

1.The history suggest the possible cause of the one-sided headache would be because of the cervical region nerve compression.

2.The nerve impingement, chord compression, age related degenerative changes, positional abnormalities, muscle and skeletal strain - can cause above symptoms.

3.There is no other neurological symptoms suggest intracranial / brain involvement. So initially MRI cervical spine will give the possible information regarding the pain, status of spine, nerve, joints.

4.Mean while i would recommend to apply some muscle relaxant cream and maintain positional norm. And do some spine exercise as much as you can do - that will help. Symptoms should relive on its own.

5.Symptomatic painkillers for couple of days until evaluate the cause. Good luck.

Hope i have answered your query.
