Suggest Treatment For Pain In Left Side Of Rib That Radiates To Back

Question: I am having pain in my left side and also under my left rib that sometimes goes into my back. I recently had tests by my physician that showed that I have kidney cysts. I also recently have been diagnosed with a cyst in the throat. Both times I have been asked if my marriage is okay and for the pain the abdomen by my left rib cage told that I may have a piece of food stuck as well as have pulled a muscle even though I have been working in an office for the past 4 months. What would you suggest I ask my doctor when I see her tomorrow to persue answers to these medical issues as I am having difficulty sitting in a chair and when I lie down at night I can feel a difference in my left side compared to my right. I feel distended and swollen.

You should ask your doctor following questions for better understanding of your condition.
what system has involved and causing you this system, I mean is it kidney or abdomen or throat?
Size and number of cyst
Is it producing obstruction any where on urine flow in case of kidney cyst.
You can discuss with your doctor for the reason behind bloating and distension which can be related to Aerophagia( excessive swallowing of air), smoking and consumption of liquor, ill fitting denture, use of carbonated drinks or acid peptic disease or liver and gall bladder disease.
You can talk about diagnostic intervention like endoscopy or ultrasound.
Inability to sit on chair might be related to some kind of musculoskeletal or disc disease.

You should discuss about your diet and life style modifications in order to improve quality of life.

I have attached the medical reports for the last testing that I did that showed cysts on my kidneys. I do not have the reports for the cyst on the throat available but it was diagnosed by a camera being put down my throat as well as a ct scan.

I am a healthy 41 year old who does not smoke and drinks occasionally with friends and also do not drink a lot of carbonated drinks.

I have been to see my chiropractor, massage therapists and a sacral cranial specialist all who indicated there has to be something going on in my body to be giving my pain. My left pain often is puffy when I go and see them.

When I do not have back pain my side is still uncomfortable. When sitting straight in a chair the left side feels distended.

Could the cysts on my kidneys be causing some of this pain?

Large cyst in kidney may produce a pressure effect on kidney or ureter leading to collection of urine in kidney and ureter and causes swelling of the kidney condition known as Hydronephrosis.

So it might be renal cyst which is giving you the pain which typically appears in renal angle or that particular side of the back
