Posted on Wed, 22 Jun 2016
Question: I'm having pain in my lower left abdominal area. It was a small area last night and seems to lessen while sitting upright. This morning the pain is sharper and area is larger. Very sharp pain when standing or walking.
I had a hysterectomy in 2003.

Brief Answer:
Possible diverticulitis

Detailed Answer:

Hi and welcome to HCM.

If this is related to movements then it may be muscle sprain or pinched nerve but also this location may be related to diverticulitis so you should get abdominal CT scan done to rule this out. You should also drink ORS fluids and have high fiber diet to soften you stool.

Let me know if there's any further queries..

Wish you good health. Regards
