Brief Answer:
Muscle sprain likely.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
The pop that you felt in the chest wall is likely to be due to a muscle sprain. This usually subsides with rest and a hot compress with mild pain killers in 5-7 days. You can avoid the overhead movements and get a muscle relaxant prescribed from your physician in case the pain is persistent or is severe.
I hope this answers your query.
In case you have additional questions or doubts, you can forward them to me, and I shall be glad to help you out.
Wishing you good health.
