                                    Brief Answer:
Please check for additional symptoms.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
If the pain is increased by movements, coughing or straining, it is most probably due to local muscle spasm.
If it is deep seated and not much affected by movements and may be also has urinary symptoms then it may be a problem with same sided kidney, diagnosis is then well aided by ultrasound.
Problems with lower lung and pleura can also cause similar pain, usually increases by deep breathing.
Please check with your additional symptoms.
And let me know.
I hope this answer helps you.
Take the anti-inflammatory medication like Ibuprofen if it suits you.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
It is good that there is no pain on breathing or coughing.
Scan was alright last year that a long time.
Better to repeat.
Since when is the pain present?
Does it increase on bending down?
Any symptoms related to urinary or bowel system?
Any other information please.
