Question: I was moving furniture, pushing it across the room using my upper thighs. I heard a loud "pop" and felt immediate pain in my right butt, down my right leg. The pain in my butt goes through to the front pelvic area.

Brief Answer:
Get xray done.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I have gone through your query.

From your history, I have come to the point that due to pushing heavy object, your disc might have get prolapsed and starts pressing nerves which supply gluteal and pelvic region.

2nd opinion is that pop up sound comes right from pelvic region.

You just need to take rest.

Take 1tab. aceclofenac + thiocochicoside combination three times a day.

After pain subsides get xray of pelvis with both hips in AP view and xray of lumbosacral spine in AP and Lateral view done and send me the report of xrays.

Apply hot packs for 30 mins in morning and evening.

Try to avoid weight lifting as much as you can.

I hope you have got your answer. You are welcome to ask any health related query.

If you have found my answer excellent then you can close discussion and award me full points.

Thanks.

Dr.Singh.
