My father had a pain in left side and did a scan. Report shows as
Impression

Fatty liver,no definite calculi in KUB

mILD PROSTATOMEGALY

Prostrate gland:
mILDELY ENGLARGED 24CC nO FOCAL LESIONS

Anything to be worried about?

Hi,

I have gone through your query.
Prostatomegaly as you have mentioned is mild and if there is no symptom like incomplete micturation or difficulty in urination, then there is no need to worry as of now. This condition is usually related to old age and is progressive. To slow the progression he is already taking medication.

Regarding Fatty liver most common cause is alcohol consumption and if not, other causes can be
Medications
Viral hepatitis
Autoimmune or inherited liver disease
Rapid weight loss
Malnutrition
Diabetes

If any above cause is known then it should be prevented.
I would suggest you to go for Liver Function Test and complete blood count to rule out other causes of fatty liver.
As of now he can start liver protective medicines like sorbiline after consulting a local endocrinologist.
