Gallstones seems most probable reason of your pain.
Detailed Answer:
Hello!
Thank you for the query.
Upper right side abdominal pain is very characteristic for gallstones. Especially if you have also nausea and the pain radiates to the back.
The gallstones pain can be triggered by fatty foods, spicy foods, alcohol. Obesity is a risk factor of gallstones.
If the pain does not radiate to the back, duodenal ulcer can be also the reason. In such case, the pain should disappear when eating a meal and appear again when you will get hungry. Nausea can be also present.
Upper right abdomen is where the large intestine is located. If you have also bloating, constipation, diarrhea, weight loss, stool pattern change, large intestine issues should be also considered.
I suggest you to consult your doctor. Some diagnostic is necessary. Please start with abdominal ultrasound and blood work, urine analysis. If duodenal ulcer seems possible, gastroscopy should be done.
If large intestine problem seems possible, colonoscopy is necessary.
In a meanwhile please avoid fatty foods, spicy foods, coffee, chocolate, orange juices, alcohol.
Hope this will help. Feel free to ask further questions.
Regards.
