Brief Answer:
Not gastritis attack.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for asking.

I am Dr. Prakash HM and I will be answering your query.

No, it does not sound like a gastritis. Gastritis will be burning pain and localized to stomach.

If you had this pain for 2-3 days, and it has reduced after taking zantac, it could be gastritis, but low possibility.
However, if it is since a short period, meet your doctor as extreme radiating pain to back, commonly thought of are dissecting aneurysm of aorta or myocardial infarction.
I do not want to alarm you, but do go to ER once for precautionary evaluation.

Any further queries, happy to help again.
