Question : Hello, my name is XXXXXXX XXXXXXX and I am having pain in my groin area. I noticed this morning that that area, my left testicle is swollen and painful. I am having difficulty urinating and the urge to urinate is frequent and when I am able to, it's not a steady strong stream, very weak, my urine is cloudy too. It's painful to even touch that area at this point.

Brief Answer:
Severe epididymo-orchitis due to urinary tract infection.

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for your query.
To recapitulate: Male/48 - pain - swelling left groin and testicle - difficulty, frequency in urination with cloudy urine and weak stream - plans to go to ER after work.
With the history you have provided, this looks to be severe urinary tract infection causing retrograde infection of the left testicle, epididymis and the cord.
I would advise you the following:
First of all send the sample of the urine in a sterile container before starting the antibiotic to get the correct and best results.
Consult a Doctor as soon as possible as this is a severe form of infection.
Blood tests.
Ultrasonography of the abdomen and of the scrotum with color doppler mode t get an appropriate diagnosis.
To get started on an appropriate antibiotic cover for the time till you get a cure.
Anti-inflammatory medication.
Scrotal support to elevate the testicles so that the pain is reduced.
Plenty of oral fluids.

I hope this answers your query, please feel free to ask for further relevant queries if you feel that there is a gap of communication.
