Question : I have a knot in my butt that feels like muscle that is tight and hurts really bad am having pain in groin and down my leg any idea what this might be
Brief Answer:
Slip disc compressing the nerves
Detailed Answer:
Hi there
Thanks for the query
The knot is usually a muscle spasm. It appears as such because of the inherent properties.
Apply hot packs to the affected region. Perform back extension exercises.
The groin pain that is radiating could be due to a slip disc.
Avoid bending forwards or lifting weights. Apply hot packs to the affected region. Take Tablet Ibuprofen 400mg twice a day for 5 days. Take Tablet Pregabalin 75mg at night for 2 months. Get an MRI of the lumbar and lumbosacral spine to look for a slip disc that may be compressing the nerves.
I hope I have answered your query.
