Question : I have pain on the bottom of my left heel. It is worst after being at rest. Some pain when walking, but it doesn't get worse. I am very active. Came on suddenly a week ago. What treatments may help?

Brief Answer:
Possible planar fascitis. Given advises.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thank you for using Healthcaremagic to post your health query.
I read carefully your question and I understand your concern.

What you are describing seems like plantar fascitis. It has started because of standing on your feet for a long time during the day.
My recommendation is that you take Ibuprofen 400mg, 1 tablet 3 times/day so you can help to relieve the pain and the inflammation.
Also, apply local analgesic cream and massage gently before getting up in the morning.
You will need to do stretching of your foot before starting to walk. You can also check videos online of stretching exercises to treat plantar fascitis. If you can find a local physical therapist, you may benefit a lot.

If worse or not better, I would recommend seeing a local doctor.

Hope this is helpful.
Let me know if you need more clarifications.
