Question : Hi! My name is Mar filyn. My Question is: I took a very hard fall last night , hitting on my left side. My knee, elbow and hip took the impact. I found myself lying on the kitchen floor. I was able to get to the bedroom & into the bed. This morning, getting out of bed was very painful. I CAN walk but my left hip area hurts like ****! I need to know whether I fractured my hip or is it a deep bruise. I need to mention that I have fallen coutless times & hit that area. I am 64 and live alone. What has happened to me?

Brief Answer:
Can be a bony injury.

Detailed Answer:
Hello, Welcome to HCM..
Thanks for posting your query.

The extreme pain and inability to walk or put the weight on the leg can be due to a fracture. In case you can walk normally with a tolerable pain then it is likely to be a soft tissue injury.

The confirmation of diagnosis can be done only after a direct clinical examination and X-ray or an MRI scan.

In case the pain is persistent or there is a swelling in the area then iot is best to attend an ER for evaluation.

I hope this answers your query.
In case you have additional questions or doubts, you can forward them to me, and I shall be glad to help you out.
