Brief Answer:
Ice pack application will be enough.

Detailed Answer:
Hi

Thank you for asking HCM

I have gone through your query. Ice pack application will be enough for hitting injury to nose. You can apply this on and off for 15 to 20 minutes at a time. You can repeat this thrice daily for two days. Ibuprofen or Naproxen(which you're already taking) for pain.

If pain is more and any haematoma(reddish-black discoloration with swelling) is present then better to take an X-ray of nasal bone to rule out fracture.

Let me know if anything's not clear.
I am happy to help you.
Thanks.

Okay, it's red right now, if it is fractured will it go away on its own? Also, what do you do for pelvic pain that won't go away?

Brief Answer:
If mild cracks then it will go on its own.

Detailed Answer:
Welcome again.

Thank you for your follow up query.

If mild crack, fractures then it will go on its own. If there is more swelling then the haematoma should be drained after consulting ENT specialist. If there is comminuted or unstable fracture then surgical manipulation will be needed.

Pelvic pain that is not going away should be investigated. Pelvic ultrasound examination should be carried out to rule out kidney problems or pelvic inflammatory disease.

Do you have any painful urination symptoms?

Brief Answer:
If fracture then 4 to 6 weeks is needed to get consolidation.

Detailed Answer:
Welcome again.

Thank you for your follow up.

In case of nasal bone fracture 4 to 6 weeks will be needed to get consolidation. Avoid activities like blowing nose or manipulation during this time.
If ice pack application doesn't give relief then better to go for X ray of nasal bone. Examination by ENT specialist should be done to rule out septal haematoma also. If such haematoma is there then it should be removed by small incision under local anaesthesia. If there is misalignment of bone then it can be stabilized by manipulation by ENT specialist also.

Let me know if anything not clear.

Brief Answer:
Just be alert yourself.

Detailed Answer:
Welcome again.

Thank you for your follow up.

Just be alert yourself for not to get hurt when he is around. Also both of you be relaxed while being together. Nervousness also can cause such accidents. You can also tell him or alert him every time not to hurt in a gentle manner.
