Question: I have pain in my right ear, I am guessing due to getting water in it while trying to wash the color out of my hair. It is very painful and I would like to know if this will go away or if I need to go to a doctor.

Brief Answer:
would be best to see your doctor

Detailed Answer:
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Ear infections can occur in different aspects of the ear. It is possible that with a history of water in the ear that you may have otitis externa which is inflammation/infection of the outer ear.

Moisture is one of the more common causes of this infection.
Vinegar has been used for otitis externa but since there has been no improvement, it would be best to see your doctor for assessment.

He or she can prescribe ear drops that should be able to help you. The drops will likely be a combination of antibiotic and mild steroid drops to decrease the inflammation in the ear.

Using an anti inflammatory pain killer would help reduce the discomfort till the drops start to work eg naproxen, cataflam, ibuprofen

I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions
