Question : I have been having left shoulder blade pain for 2 days now. The pain causes my left arm to feel like it is cramping. Aspirin doesn't seem to help with the pain at all. I don't recall doing anything to hurt my shoulder at all. The pain just started suddenly. I'm a 41 year old female, in good health. I don't smoke or drink. Should I worry about this or will it go away by itself?

Brief Answer:
Monitor for now,. Should most likely go away!

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thanks for using HCM.

I am so sorry to hear about this cramping sensation that you have reported. Most of these incidental symptoms resolve spontaneously without need for any aggressive medical treatment. I will suggest you only monitor for now. Exercise this joint often, moving it in all directions gently. Also, continue with Ibuprofen. For some reasons, I do not really like clients taking aspirin because of its potential serious stomach aggression. If this fails to decrease significantly within 3days, please let me know.

I hope this helps. If you need more information, please do not hesitate to ask more questions and we would gladly address them.
