Question : I am having pain when food goes down located somewhere past my throat and before my stomach.

The pain you are suffering from could be due to any muscle spasm or any other oesophageal disorder. Which is very difficult to diagnose by history or clinical examination. I would suggest you get an ENDOSCOPY to rule out the exact cause.
