Question : I just experienced a feeling of pressure in upper mid chest that traveled up my neck and then into my mouth. It made my teeth hurt for the duration of this experience - about 5 minutes. I have had this happen several times before over a period of a year.

Detailed Answer:
Hello!

Welcome and thank you for asking on HCM!

I understand your concern and would explain that it is necessary performing a careful differential diagnosis between different causes that may lead to this symptomatology.

1- Coronary artery disease. I would recommend performing a resting ECG and cardiac enzymes. A cardiac stress test would be helpful to investigate for this disorder.

2- Cervical column degenerations or disc bulging in this level. A cervical column X ray followed by a MRI or CT scan would be necessary to rule in/out this possible disorder.

You should discuss with your doctor on the above tests.

Hope to have been helpful!

Kind regards,

Dr. Iliri
