Question: Dont remember what Dr replied last time, he was a surgeon though. He was thinking I might have Deep vein Thrombitis. Im concerned with my rt breast nipple. I have stage 4 lung cancer In remission on rt side, the bottom of my nipple has become hard as shoe leather, and is dimpled as if I were cold it is freaking me out. Last time I wrote I just talked about it being swelled & hot. But my whole rt side was swelled from foot to breast & 3everywhere in between. I am 51 so I know it is not related to breast-feeding. Also the affected area of nipple is alot darker than the rest of it. Could it be breast cancer? What do I do first See internist, see surgeon, see oncologist, get mamogram ? What do I do?

Brief Answer:
See oncologist and get mammogram done.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

This symptoms are more indicative of cancer related issues. You should see oncologist.Retraction of nipple is often seen with cancer.

Ideal would be to see oncologist and let doctor decide investigations needed to be undertaken. Doctor might also want to get directly PET scan done to screen entire body.

Hope this helps. Please ask if there are doubts.Regards.
