Question: I have been having some pain on my left side, right under my rib cage. It's tender to the touch but not the ribs themselves. If I lean to my left it bothers me and sometimes when I breathe in heavy I can feel the tenderness. it does not feel like I have a muscle that is pulled, but I also feel like I have more anxiety with a racing heart more so this last week then I have ever experienced along with mild headaches.

Also, I have no issues with constipation or anything like excessive gas either that's all normal on my end

Brief Answer:
It seems like costochondritis.

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

As per your description it seems like you are having something called costochondritis. It is nothing but inflammation of costal cartilage ( structure that connects your ribs to sternum) .
It is a harmless condition that will resolve with conservative measures.
However it is better to tak e an ECG to rule out cardiac causes even though it is very unlikely. Cardiac pain does not produce tenderness.
You can take analgesics like tramadol or diclofenac. Anti inflammatory drugs like seratiopeptidase also be added. Most cases resolve with theses drugs. In severe cases rarely drugs like gabapentin and tricyclic anti depressants may be needed. In recurrent cases oral or injection steroids may be needed.
Rapid heart rate is not related to this and may be due to anxiety related to pain.
If pain persist or recurrent episodes are there, consult a physician.

Wishing you good health.
Thanks
