Question : Hi, It's been 3 days since I have this pain on my left upper back. When I press on it it hurts. I have been sleeping a lot. And I started to feel this pain during adjusting my sleeping posture. The weird thing is the pain is getting better when I'm upright and mostly gone after I am doing physical things for a while. And it's gone for the rest of the day, but it always comes back in the morning after sleeping. I'm wondering what this could be. Thanks!
Brief Answer:
Change your sleeping place
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for your query.
The pain for sure is either due to faulty sleeping position or due to bed.
I would recommend you to sleep on a different bed and observe.
Also, do note if there is any change in the skin color in the affected part.

Hi, ya still happening today. But not as bad. Maybe I'm getting better. I don't think I see any color change. I can't change beds right now. Do you recommend me sleeping on the floor? What posture should I be sleeping in?
Brief Answer:
Yes, try the floor
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for writing back.
Yes, you can try the floor.
If there is no color change of the skin over the tender spot, it definitely means its not due to inflammatory process but due to sprain.
Try sleeping supine on the floor. Once you get up , do some stretching in all parts.
Hope, this helps.
Regards,
