Question: I have a fatty liver and it aches. Is there anything to do for it?
Brief Answer:

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Welcome and thanks for your query.
Fatty liver is usually an asymptomatic condition discovered on an ultrasound examination often in search of cause for abdominal pain. Conditions which cause inflammation of the liver like hepatitis or stretching of the liver capsule can produce pain.
Please upload your liver function tests. Is there anything else like food or passing of motion or gas that alters or precipitates the pain?

I don't have the test results, but I was told all the function results were good. A really busy work day with a lot of physical activity seems to bring on the ache. I was more interested about the fatty liver result. Is it an indication of an oncoming problem? Does it interfere with any liver actions?

Detailed Answer:
Fatty liver may be due to several causes like diabetes, insulin resistance, obesity, inflammation due to alcohol, viral diseases or a group of conditions under NAFLD. If there's no elevation of ALT, AST and other liver enzymes, long term harms are less likely. May repeat your investigations in 6 months.
Wish you good health and a great day
