Question: Hi , please see the Growth. We dont know what is that on the skin. It seems it is a microfibroid ? i go to the dermatologist and I have been unsuccessfull to complete my steroid jabs due to 3 pregnancies. It was there since I was 13. It was the size of a pimple only. After I accidently erupted it grew until today 12 years later to this size. Its painful and itchy. Its always infected and sometimes yellow liquid known as past/pust when squeeze it. The entire growth is very Hard. Even try to poke the stringe take a lot of effort.
I wonder how to fix it and I am keen on tummy tuck and possibly tummy tuck

Brief Answer:
Seems like a keloid

Detailed Answer:
Hello. Thank you for writing to us

I am dr.kakkar (dermatologist). I have gone through your query. I have noted your concern and I have reviewed the image.

This seems like a keloid. It seems to have arisen from the scar of caesarean section.

I would suggest a week of oral antibiotics to take care of pain and oozing. Thereafter once the oozing stops i would suggest intralesional injections of triamcinolone acetonide 40 mg/ml. It is a depot steroid preparation and would help by dissolving excess collagen in keloid scar. Since it is a big lesion you might need a series of injections at 3 weeks intervals for it to flatten.

Tendency for a surgical scar to form keloid

Detailed Answer:
Hi.

Since you have a tendency for keloid formation therefore there is a risk for keloid formation in a surgical scar post plastic surgery.
