Brief Answer:
Take Tylenol. Visit an ENT Doctor shortly.

Detailed Answer:
Hi!

You seem to have an obstruction of the salivary duct that needs an ENT procedure. This is the most common diagnosis. Since your problem is so acute, meaning that it has taken place over hours, we can say with great confidence that serious issues like cancer are very rare and remote in your case indeed. Kindly take some Tylenol, not exceeding a total dose of 1000 mg. If not you might take an Aspirin in tandem as a pain killer. As soon as you can, visit an ENT (Ear, Nose Throat) Physician and get a simple procedure done.

There is a possibility that it may not be a salivary gland, and it could be a cervical lymph node. Even so, the doctor you have to go to is the same and the primary treatment - Tylenol, does not differ. The fact that it is painful again puts you in a safe square as HIV/AIDS and Cancerous Growths do not hurt like the way you are describing.

Feel free to enquire about any health related issues.

Thanks.
