Brief Answer:
It needs x ray

Detailed Answer:
Hello madam,
I have read your question and I think you are most probably having either a fracture or a ligament injury. Colour change shows that blood has accumulated around ankle joint. You are doing right by keeping it elevated and applying ice but it is not sufficient.
I would suggest you to go to emergency as early as possible and get x ray. If it shows any fracture around ankle joint then it needs immobilization in form of splinting. Even if there is no fracture and ligament injury is there then also splinting will help in faster healing.
I hope this answer will help you. Let me know if you want to ask nay other question.
Thanks.
