Brief Answer:
Ice application will be helpful

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome to Healthcaremagic
Greetings of the day
Dear Ms

It is likely that toy have sustained haematoma (localised collection of blood under the skin ) . If the following criteria are fulfilled it is unlikely to be serious

1. Active movements of knee not restricted
2. No break in overlying skin
3. No deformity

I would suggest you the following

1. Adequate rest : Bed rest will be helpful. Keep the limb elevated by placing pillow under the thigh and leg. It will decrease the swelling

2. Local application of ice

3. Analgesic like Ibuprofen will provide much needed relief

If the symptoms persist do not hesitate to consult your Physician for thorough clinical assessment

Take care

Brief Answer:
Local analgesic application will be helpful

Detailed Answer:
Dear Ms

Severe pain is likely to be due to Hemarrthrosis (accumulation of blood in joint space ) or tendon injury .

Local application of Volini gel (Diclofenac )gentle massage will be beneficial. Also do ensure complete bed rest and ice application.

If the pain is still persists or worsens then do consult your physician for detailed assessment.

Best regards
Dr Deepak
