Question : Please carefully review the following photo. It's a picture taken this afternoon of my father's upper left torso, very bear the left nipple. It spans about 3-5 inches in length but quite narrow in width. It's cery dark red with a bit of purple also. He has also a very similar situation on the inner upper side near his groin. There is nor zhas there been any pain and there is no sort of pinpoint as if a spider had bitten him. He has had both these spots for about 4-5 days. He hasn't seen a doctor yet. Please detail any ideas. Thank you!

Brief Answer:
Get platelet levels checked

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for the query and photograph.
He has developed purpura or in other words slight bleed under skin.
It is a common condition and there is nothing to worry.
It usually happens due to low platelet levels.
Please get his platelet levels checked.
Apply a moisturiser twice daily for a week. This would help him.
Let me know if you have any other doubts.
Thank you.
