Question : I fell down the stairs day before yesterday and hurt my buttocks. I have a huge hematoma hat covers one whole side of my butt. It has been numb and hot o touch but tonight it has started to hurt. I cannot get comfortable and cannot sleep. I have taken Motrin today but tonight does not seem to help. Is this normal?

Brief Answer:
Can be infected hematoma with fracture.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
You have a large hematoma and discoloration that can get infected or may be associated with a fracture. This needs a proper examination and X-ray for diagnosis. Oral antibiotics will prevent the infection and in case the swelling is increasing then it may need to be drained.
I hope this answers your query.
In case you have additional questions or doubts, you can forward them to me, and I shall be glad to help you out.
Wishing you good health.
