Question : hi so im a 17 year old girl and ive been on and off being sexually active for about a year now. and by on and off i mean about every 3 months or so im sexually active for about a week than back to zilch again. so ive noticed that its still painful every time i have sex. and i thought it was normal because of the time spaces between but i had a feel around inside and found a ball which i assumed was my 'g'spot but its very uncomfortable to touch… i cant see a gynaecologist yet as im not 18 so what do i do :/ and is it the time thats causing it? or a cyst

Thank you for using Healthcare Magic. From your description, this is likely to be a Bartholin's cyst you have found. This is not serious. It is a small cyst that commonly develops in this area. If it remains small and gives you no pain then it can be left alone. If you find it is painful or enlarging then it may be infected and you would need antibiotics. If it continues to cause discomfort then a minor surgical procedure can remove it. It is not directly related to sexual activity.
I would suggest you see your doctor for assessment to confirm the diagnosis and you may possibly be offered a course of antibiotics if the doctor considers it is infected.
