Brief Answer:
B-complex can be tried, but late stages, not sure.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for asking.
I am Dr. Prakash HM and I will be answering your query.

Based on your query, my opinion is as follows:

1. Lyrica or pregabalin and tramadol is being used for painful neuropathy. Identifying and treating the cause of neuropathy is important for management purposes. If its vit B-complex deficiency, correction will help.

2. Vit B12 is helpful in early stages, when tingling and numbness are starting and pain is still manageable. It is mostly peripheral neuropathy. Late cases, nerve regeneration reduces.

3. However, you can try Vit B12 supplements for a few months. Atleast 1 month therapy is necessary to see its effectiveness. You can start on B-complex supplements, twice daily. Not to worry about toxicity, as they do not accumulate in the body. B-complex vitamins are water soluble. Avoid smoking and alcohol intake.

4. Quality of life is also important along with getting off meds. Do not stop medications, until your pain is manageable. You can slowly reduce medications, dose, frequency after consultation with your doctor, based on Vit B-complex response to your neural condition.

Hope it helps.
Any further queries, happy to help again.

Brief Answer:
Numerous causes, more clinical details necessary for investigation

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for asking again.

I am not sure about the location, so cannot be very specific.

Causes can be - vitamin deficiency, heavy metals poisoning, autoimmune disease like lupus erythematosus, rheumatoid arthritis, etc, shingles, kidney disease, liver disease, trauma or pressure to nerve, etc.

Based on location and more clinical history, I can try to recommend more specific tests. Also provide, medication details and personal history about smoking, alcohol, etc.

Hope it helps.
Any further queries, happy to help again.
