Brief Answer:
mupirocin ointment

Detailed Answer:
Hi and welcome to healthcaremagic,

Please apply mupirocin ointment 3 times daily over the affected areas to prevent infection from setting in.

Keep the area clean and dry. Clean with warm water and mild soap before applying the ointment.

If you notice increase in the pain or sweling in the area then visist an ENT doctor to rule out infection. Infections of the pinna can be dangerous and should be treated quickly especially in diabetics.

For the pain you can take pain killers like tylenol after checking your dose.

Regards,
Dr Rajkishori Godhi MS ENT.
