Brief Answer:
I recommend you take Tylenol for this. Probably viral in nature!

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.

I am so sorry to hear about this painful throat that you have reported. The two most common causes of painful throat are strep sore throat and a viral infection. Strep throat can be treated with amoxicillin while viral sore throat requires only symptoms management. Because you have been on amoxicillin for ear infection, it would have also covered for any possible strep sore throat. This means that the only left possibility is a viral infection.

I usually use Tylenol for most of my patients. This would offer good pain relief and the symptoms would be greatly controlled. This infection is generally controlled within 3-5days. Healthy diet, fruits, vegetables, drink much fluids and regular exercise exercise would help accelerate the healing process.

In all, Tylenol would be able to control these symptoms and allow for celebrations. While on Tylenol, avoid drinking alcohol.

I hope this addresses your query fully. If you have any further concerns or symptoms don't get better, let me know for more information and recommendations. I wish you a speedy recovery.
