Brief Answer:
Painful unilateral swelling occipital region

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thank you for your query. I can understand your concerns.

Pain & swelling at back of head i.e. at occipital region at one side ,can be due to an infected sebaceous cyst or an abscess.
Is it possible to upload a close-up photo?
Meanwhile simple analgesic like paracetamol will give symptomatic relief of pain.
If swelling is of infective etiology ,as mentioned you will need a course of antibiotic/s.
