Question : Is there anything I can use to remove a small papaloma on my tongue! Had one off a few years ago and my tongue bled all night! It really scared me! Is there an over the counter solution to use?
Brief Answer:
Go for surgical excision of wound.
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for writing in.
Papilloma is benign epithelial tumour caused by HPV. It can be treated by surgical excision. Other options include cryotherapy or chemical ablation.
Unfortunately I am not aware of any over the counter measures that can safely excise papilloma. It's better to go for excisional biopsy, so that lesion gets removed & you will get the exact diagnosis of lesion.
