Question : For almost a year, I have experienced pelvic pain which is brought on by walking and standing. Until the onset of this problem, I regularly walked three to four miles several time a week. One OB/GYN diagnosed me as having pelvic prolapse; while another physician was unable to arrive at a pelvic prolapse diagnosis. I have had uterine fibroids for years, which have now calcified. I am 67 years old; physically active until now; but significantly overweight (30 lbs). I am experiencing a weighted feeling in my vagina, mainly after prolonged walking or standing.
I want to consult with a OB/GYN

Brief Answer:
Prolapse of the uterus can be easily examined vaginally by an OBGYN.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
There shouldn't be any difficulty in diagnosing a prolapse. There are 4 stages of prolapse depending on the descend of the uterus.
Do you have urinary symptoms?
Is the pelvic pain started recently?
You definitely need to have a OBGYN check up with an ultrasound scan to find out the position and size of the fibroids. Accordingly, a decision has to be taken.
Hope I have answered your query.
Thank you.
