Question: Hi,
I got a surgery done for Perianal Abscess today. Now that I back home, I am having urge to urinate but hardly few drops are coming out. I may have had less water today because of the surgery. What should I do?

* There are various reasons for the same like,
- post-operative pain - dehydration - post anesthesia ( particularly spinal)


* Currently consume immediately 1 glass of water, 250 ml of green tea or
Coffee, 250 ml lemon juice at interval of 15 minutes each ( if you have no
vomiting)

Kindly provide me further details as:
1. name of surgery(it'll be mentioned in the surgical note), type of anesthesia ( general / spinal )
2. duration of hospital stay had kept per urethral catheter in hospital
3. had passed urine in hospital
4. hours of NBM(Nil by mouth) after surgery, how much IV fluids, orally taken after surgery
5. vomiting after surgery

6. current status of pain at operative site
7. is your bladder full (can you palpate distension/bulge in lower abdomen
with pain in the pelvis)

8. is there burning in urination
9. when the last dose of pain killer was given as injection / oral medicines
