Question: Diaper Rash

my son 23 months old got diarrhea 3 days before. We are giving him zincovit, cyfolac, gramogyl
With loose motions he got diaper rash also. It was red with small white dots. we applied Siloderm. But today red color has turned to dark red. Is this healing or what else needs to be done. We are keeping him diaper free for day. Washing with warm water. but it is very painful. he cries Everytime in diaper change.
kindly help.

Brief Answer:
Antibiotic ointment will help

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.

I have gone through your query and have checked the attached image. The perianal excoriation looks quite severe and since there is a possibility of bacterial infection/contamination, I would insist you to apply T-Bact (mupirocin) ointment along with Siloderm. Give it a couple of days and the situation would gradually improve.

Try to keep the area dry. Avoid putting the diaper on if there is a scope.

Regards
