Brief Answer:
Abdominal hernia can be the reason.
Detailed Answer:
Hello!
Thank you for the query.
If the pain has started with coughing, the most probable reason of your pain is an abdominal hernia. Even if you do not see any protrusion, the hernia can be there.
The hernia can be in the umbilicus or a little bit higher.
I suggest you to have an ultrasound done at first to confirm or rule out this possibility.
Hope this helps.
Regards.

I also have been having shortness of breath and dizzy spells
Brief Answer:
Asthma can be the reason.
Detailed Answer:
This symptom can be associated with an infection of your airways or possible asthma. If you cough up a phlegm in the morning, asthma is very possible.
At least chest x-ray should be done. If asthma is possible, pulmonologist should be visited as well.
